Chris Near is pursuing a masters in mass communications.
In 2008, Near’s papers “A Stakeholder Analysis of Two Museum Stakeholder Groups” and "Substance Abuse in Teen Centered Film: 1980-2007" were presented at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication annual convention.
