Cassandra Christensen Barney is the daughter of James Christensen. She graduated from BYU in 1995 with a BFA in Painting and Art Education. Barney completed an MFA in Visual Arts in 2000.
Barney worked with her father and sister Emily Christensen McPhie on a 2009 exhibit titled, "Hortus Conclusus, or The Enclosed Garden" which was housed at the Art Access Gallery in Salt Lake City Utah during September and October.
