Alexander Willey graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in Pleasant Grove, Utah and is currently a student studying Music at BYU.
He won first place in the 2008 Utah State Solo Competition Senior Bass Division. He was then selected to compete in the ASTA National Solo Competition in Atlanta during March 2009 where he won first-place nationally.
Willey is a student of Eric Hansen.
