Tiana Claire Birrell graduated from Brigham Young University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in studio arts. She began attending the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015 to obtain a master's degree in Photography. This is a prestigious accomplishment because there are only eight students accepted from a pool of international applicants each year.
In 2011 Tiana was part of the Capitol Reef Project funded by the Laycock Center for Creative Collaboration in the Arts. The project included students from all disciplines of Visual Arts and concluded with an exhibit, A Private Experience in a Public Space, at BYU and also at Snow College.
