Stephanie Freeman loves teaching and has taught classes at BYU since 1990. Her favorite class to teach is Public Speaking. She has also taught Persuasive Methods and Rhetorical Criticism.

As a member of BYU’s nationally ranked Debate team, 1985-1987, she won 5th place speaker at the CEDA nationals. In 1987 she chose to serve a full time mission and was called to serve in Frankfurt, Germany.

Freeman supervises the speech program here at BYU. She has coordinated the Biannual Donald Sloan Speech Showcase for over 15 years. She is actively involved in community and church service. Currently she serves as Music Chair in the Lehi West Stake. She is also a Wolf Den Leader and is a Boy Scout merit badge counselor.

Freeman and her loving husband, Peter, have four children. She enjoys literature, music, educational research, gardening, and spending time with her family.
