Scott M. Boyter

Scott M. Boyter has been the Assistant Dean and Contontroller for the College of Fine Arts and Communications at Brigham Young University since 1973. He oversees the budgets, finances, and physical facilities for the college. In 1987, Boyter received the President's Appreciation Award for his efforts in behalf of and dedication to BYU.

Boyter graduated from BYU in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in business education, and received a master's degree in administrative management in 1987. He is a veteran of the United States Army and spent thirty-three years working in the Army Reserve in assignments with the Finance Corps and the Commanding General's staff at the 96th Regional Support Command in Salt Lake City, Utah. His final assignment was as the Command Sergeant Major of the 360th Battalion, 2nd Brigade and 91st Division (Training/Support), headquartered in Fort Hunter Ligett.
