Rebekah Wing Hang Lau graduated from BYU in 2009 with a degree in Piano Performance. She then completed a master's degree in Music Performance.

In 2010, she was awarded an Oscarson Discovery Grant to study for one month at the International Music Academy Pilsen in the Czech Republic.
