Nancy D. Waters
From College of Fine Arts and Communications
Nancy D. Waters studied at BYU from 1974 to 1979 and recieved a degree in Music Education. While at BYU, she studied Jazz, learning a love for scat. Waters also was a part of the jazz ensemble Synthesis, performing on the saxophone.
Waters was mentored by S. Gordon Jessop, who encouraged her to continue on despite difficult student teaching experiences.
Waters now works as Principle of John Muir Elementary in California, where she daily shares her love for music with her students.
