Michele Bowen

Michele Bowen holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts and the Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa where she studied with Benjamin Coelho and Mark Weiger. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University where she studied with Christian Smith.

Bowen has actively performed with the Des Moines Metro Opera Orchestra, University of Iowa Center for New Music, Cedar Rapids Symphony, South East Iowa Symphony, and at the 2008 International Double Reed Society conference in Provo, Utah.

She has recorded on the Covenant record label with Mark Geslison and Geoff Groberg and is also featured on Into the Future, a CD recorded by the University of Iowa's Center for New Music in 2007. Additionally, Bowen has performed with the Orchestra at Temple Square, the American Buckaroo Symphony, and the 2002 Winter Olympics Orchestra in Salt Lake City, Utah.
