Early Life
Merrill B. Jenson was born and raised in Richfield, Utah.
Education
Jenson received his BM Music Composition in April 1980.
Career
Jenson has worked extensively for the Church. He composed the soundtrack for all three feature films shown at Temple Square -- Legacy, The Testaments, and Joseph Smith—Prophet of the Restoration. Jenson also composed the music for the temple pageants held in Manti, Utah; Mesa, Arizona; and Oakland, California. Jenson also wrote the 1999 Ricks College Oratorio.
Additional projects have included symphonies and multi-media. Jenson has scored many films, especially films shown in IMAX theaters. His works include soundtracks to films such as Windwalker and and several others from Academy Award-winning director Kieth Merrill.
Family Life
Jenson g is married to the former Betsy Lee and they are the parents of six children. They currently reside in Provo, Utah.
