Margaret L. Weber
Margaret L. Weber is the youngest of four children, all girls. She grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio, before moving to rural Utah.

She graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration in 1989. She is currently employed as the Art Director for Covenant Communications, Inc., a publishing company in American Fork, Utah.

In February 2008, Weber organized the BYU Illustration Alumni Show, held at the Utah County Health and Justice Building. The show highlighted the works of fellow alumni. According to Weber,

The difference between fine artists and illustrators is that a fine artist paints something they hope will sell, and an illustrator paints something they already know will sell. I think the other things about illustrators is you could say we’re the people’s artists . . . Almost without exception, people can relate to what we do (Anderson).

Weber occasionally teaches the illustration business course for BYU, and she and her Maltese puppy currently reside in a small, one-hundred-plus-year-old home in Provo.
