Kira Palmer

Kira Palmer holds degrees from the Brigham Young University School of Music and the University of Florida. Her major teachers include Susan Barrett, Geralyn Giovannetti, and Leslie Odom.

An active chamber and orchestral musician, Palmer has performed extensively as a freelance artist in Florida and Georgia and has held orchestral positions in the Gainesville Chamber Orchestra and the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra. She is currently serving as principal oboe in the Central Florida Symphony Orchestra and maintains a private studio in Gainesville, Florida.

In 2008, Palmer was invited to perform as part of the annual International Double Reed Society Conference.
