Joshua Despain
From College of Fine Arts and Communications
Joshua Joseph Despain graduated from Brigham Young University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Communications. He received the Scripps League/N. Laverl Christensen Scholarship in 2011.
While he attended BYU JJ wrote for The Universe, the campus' newspaper. In 2012 he was awarded first place by the Utah Headliners Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for his editorial cartoon, "Jimmer as Moses." In 2010 he was a recipient of the Deseret News Scholarship from the Department of Communications.
