Jackson Barlow graduated from BYU in April 2007 with a degree in Media Arts Studies.

In 2008, Barlow’s short-film Customer Service won the Third-Place in the LDS Film Festival. Customer Service, which was made with fellow alumni Emily Moffat and Jared Cardon, was submitted to the 24-Hour Filmmaking Marathon Division of the festival. The guidelines for the division were that the entire film had to be made within a 24-hour period, carry a theme of compassion, use a band-aid as a prop, and incorporate the dialogue, “Could you please . . .”
