J. Marinus Jensen

J. Marinus Jensen served as the chair for the Journalism Department from 1938-1939. His appointment came following the death of Harrison Reuben Merrill. At the time of his appointment, Jensen was a professor in the English Department, teaching classes on editorial writing and ethics.

Additionally, he wrote for various Church publications as well as for the Provo Inquirer and the Rocky Mountain News. He also served as a member of the city council and president of the public library board. (Pratte, 16)
