J. Kirk Richards

J. Kirk Richards (b.1976) is a visual artist perhaps best known for his paintings of spiritual themes. While not all of his work is overtly religious, much of his work is loosely founded in Old and New Testament scripture. In 2007, Richards' work appeared in the Helen Whitney-produced PBS Frontline documentary entitled The Mormons.

Richards earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University. He studied with artists Bruce Smith, Hagen Haltern, Gary Barton, Jennifer Barton, James Christensen, Wulf Barsch, Joe Ostraff, and others.

Richards was married in 1999 to Amy Tolk. They have three children.
