Ethan Vincent

His body of work encapsulates nearly all major areas of film, from cinematography, acting, directing to editing. Vincent’s recognition as an editor began with his work on the documentary Truth & Conviction, a film about the life and death of German resistance fighter Helmuth Hübener.
In November 2003, Ethan was hired as an Associate Editor and After Effects artist for Sony's first animated feature ‘Open Season.’ The following year, Ethan worked as the main film editor for two feature films, ‘Believe’ and ‘Everything You Want’ for ABC Family. In addition to editing, Ethan has directed several shorts and completed three documentaries: Fire on Ice a 30 min. documentary about the history of the Icelandic emigrants from the Westmann Islands, The Legacy of J. Reuben Clark, a 35 min. documentary about the life of the accomplished Ambassador and lawyer J. Reuben Clark, as well as ‘The Romney Code: The Life and Ethics of George W. Romney,’ which aired on KBYU and BYUTV in October, 2008.
Vincent owns his own production company, Exile Productions and has created several independent documentaries, including a 40 min. piece about the decline of Classical studies in the United States, called 'Moscow Classics: The Classic Life of Louis Perraud.' One of his main clients is LEGO for whom Vincent is creating an extensive Behind-The-Scenes DVD featurette for LEGO's upcoming MMOG release Lego Universe.
Vincent has also established himself as a screenwriter, pairing up with Saints and Soldiers' writer Matt Whitaker to tell the story of German resistance fighter Helmuth Hübener. The co-written screenplay Truth and Treason was optioned by Kaleidoscope Pictures with Haley Joel Osment and Max von Sydow attached.
Currently, Ethan is completing ‘The Soul of Kaluapapa,’ a 60 min. PBS documentary on the history of the leprosy (Hansen’s Disease) settlement on Molokai, Hawaii.
Awards
Vincent received a Case Award of Excellence for his commercial for the EMBA Program at the Marriott School of Business.
Vincent received a Rocky Mountain Regional Emmy in 2009 for his work as the producer of The Romney Code: The Life and Ethics of George Romney.
Vincent has received several Telly Awards for his work on corporate videos with Kaleidoscope Pictures
