Ephraim Smith graduated from Brigham Young University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in media arts studies. In 2012 Smith was the gaffer for the production of Love Unbroken.
was a project funded by the Laycock Center for Creative Collaboration in the Arts
at BYU in 2012. The purpose behind the project was to choreograph and film a contemporary dance number that would inspire hope in the redeeming power of divine love.
The film was produced, directed, and edited by Darin Southam, a local professional actor and director. The project presented a wonderful opportunity for students of different disciplines to work together. In turn, the students also had the chance to experience a professional set and to work with and accept advice from professionals in the fields of dance and film.
