Education
Dr. Roberts received a BA in Communicative Arts from Brigham Young University in 1967. He went on to receive and MA in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1977. In 2000 he received his Ph.D. in Instructional Psychology and Technology at Brigham Young University.
Professional life
Dr. Roberts spent twenty-four years as an officer in the US Air Force. While there he was responsible for motion picture production, audiovisual management & news and public affairs in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Tokyo, Naples and Saigon.
From 1996 to 1999 Dr. Roberts was the Project Director for the History of Civilization Multimedia Project at BYU.
From 1999 to 2004 he was the General Manager of KBYU Television.
From 2004 to 2006 he was the General Manager of Academics and Education Services for BYU Broadcasting.
Personal Life
Dr. Roberts had been married for more than 35 years to Susan Plotts. They have 7 children and 6 grandchildren.
