Clay Christiansen

Clay Christiansen graduated from BYU in 1971 with his Bachelor's in Music and went on to receive a Master's and Doctorate from the University of Utah.
Christiansen was organist and choirmaster of Salt Lake City's St. Mark Cathedral for 10 years and organist of Congregation Kol Ami, Salt Lake City's Jewish synagogue, for five years before he was appointed as a Tabernacle organist in 1982. Solo performances have taken him throughout the United States, Canada and England.
As a Tabernacle organist, Christiansen performs on Temple Square regularly and accompanies the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in all of their concerts, rehearsals, tours, and broadcasts. He is often featured as an organ soloist in the weekly Music and the Spoken Word broadcast.
