Cindy Washburn Badger graduated from BYU in 2009 with a degree in Public Relations.

She has been involved in journalism since high school when she wrote with a teen program at The Deseret Morning News, the second-largest paper in Utah. She also served as copy editor for her high school paper and intended to pursue journalism in college. Public relations won her heart, however, during an internship in the Lt. Governor's Elections Office at the Utah State Capital, where she was able to see the public affairs team in action.

Badger joined PRSSA as a sophomore at BYU. That year she was very involved in Chapter activities as well as the Chapter firm, Bradley Public Relations. When BYU hosted the 2006 National Conference, she was served as a volunteer throughout the event. In 2007-2008 she served as director of records for her Chapter.

Badger was the PRSSA 2008-2009 editor-in-chief of FORUM and Connecting with PRSSA.

Badger is recently married and enjoys spending time with her new husband. She also enjoys reading, writing, dancing, blog surfing and talking on the phone with her sister. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Badger enjoys much involvement in her church congregation.
