Cheryll Lynn May was the Head Curator of the Museum of Art at Brigham Young University. She spent the majority of her time at the museum in leadership positions, also serving as Museum Educator and Public and Volunteer Program Coordinator.
After graduating from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1964, Dr. May received her master’s and PhD from Tufts University. She then taught in the fields of political science and economic history at Suffolk University, Brigham Young University, and the University of Utah.
May has published journal articles in women’s history, Mormon history, as well as articles on legal, political, and leisure topics in popular magazines. She received Certificates of Recognition from the BYU College of Fine Arts and Communications in 1999 and 2003.
