The Cougar Marching Band is the Power of the Wasatch. An auditioned group of 225 members, the band performs a pregame and half-time show at every home football game and usually follows the team to bowl games. The band begins rehearsing a week before school and then, as school starts, rehearses three times a week. Aside from football games the band also hosts the Rocky Mountain Marching Band Invitational, where high school marching bands from all over the state come and compete at LaVell Edwards Stadium. Audition materials are due in the April or May preceding the Fall Semester and colorguard auditions take place in June or July.

The Cougar Marching Band is currently under the direction of Fred McInnis and performs for millions of people every year.
