In 2013, she participated in creating the animated segment for the Christmas music video Christmas in L.A., for the band The Killers. She was co-producer for the film with Tom Lefler and Kyle Stapley. Kelly Loosli was director of this film. Also in 2013, Hiatt was the producer for Stephen Nelson's documentary, 6 Till Engaged. Brad Barber, Amy Jensen, and Tom Lefler were the executive producers.
In 2014, Christmas in L.A. tied with the film Owned to win the Outstanding Animation Award at the 2014 BYU Final Cut Film Festival. She also won a Media Arts Outstanding Student award from the Department of Theatre and Media Arts. Also in 2014, Hiatt produced one of the year's two capstone projects, On The Rocks.
At the 2015 American Advertising Awards Gala, Hiatt received a Silver Addy at the Gala for her work on the "Triple Eight Brainsaver" advertisement.
In 2017, Hiatt participated in a documentary called Modifying Reality. The documentary follows a group of animation students who are trying to complete their senior film in hopes to meet the expectations of the award-winning films from the students who preceded them. The film also explores the BYU Center for Animation and how it has developed talented and marketable students.
