In 2010 Wilson and fellow student Kody Threlfall were sponsored by the Peery Foundation to travel to Indianopolis, Indiana to film the effects of social entrepreneurship in an impoverished area of the city.
Under the direction of Darin Southam Wilson was the assistant camera operator throughout the production of Love Unbroken.
Love Unbroken was a project funded by the Laycock Center for Creative Collaboration in the Arts at BYU in 2012. The purpose behind the project was to choreograph and film a contemporary dance number that would inspire hope in the redeeming power of Divine love. Directing the project was Dance faculty member Michelle Nielsen, and the student performers/choreographers featured were Cayel Tregeagle and Arianna Brunell. The dancers collaborated with students from the Theatre and Media Arts department and with professionals in that field to create the set and produce the visual effects seen on the film, which was put to the music of Jason Mraz' popular song I Won't Give Up.
In 2014, Wilson returned to BYU to assist with Camera/Grip/Electric and to serve as the director of photography in the production of Beyond, which had a cast and crew of approximately 100 students.
