Carol Ann Goodson

Carol Ann Goodson graduated from Brigham Young University in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in music. She later received a master's degree in choral conducting and a doctorate in music education.

Goodson co-authored an article “First Comes the Child,” which appeared in the Spring 2008 edition of McKay Today Magazine. The article, written with Debora Escalante analyzes the importance of the arts in the life of a child.

In 2011, Goodson received the prestigious Presidential Award from the Utah Music Educator's Association. She directed the music professional development program at the Southeast Center for Education in the Arts in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which helped her in her assignment as Fine Arts Specialist for the Utah State Office of Education for the last 16 years. Goodson was also the music specialist for the Granite School District.
