Camille Hansen Trent graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in advertising with a minor in sociology.

In 2014, at the American Advertising Awards Gala (formerly the Addys), a Gold Award was awarded to "Brita: Let the Pure Through" (TV), for which Trent was a creative writer. Also in 2014, Trent's advertising team (including Trent and fellow students Sean O'Rourke, Lucy Myers, and Alex Bennett) won first place in the National Collegiate Effies with its ad campaign for Mini Cooper. The same year, a commercial that Trent wrote, "Girlfriend," was produced by Taco Bell.

At the 2015 American Advertising Awards Gala, Trent received a Gold Addy for her work on the "Right Trigger" advertisement.
