Brian Peterson

Brian Peterson began his study of the bassoon with Dr. George Longazo in his hometown of Chico, California. He received his bachelor of music degree from the University of Southern California, where he studied with Norman Herzberg. He later completed his master’s degree in music at Brigham Young University, where he studied bassoon with Glenn Williams.

Peterson then attended medical school at the University of Utah, followed by residency training in ear, nose, and throat surgery in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Peterson and his wife have five children and reside in South Jordan, Utah.

In 2008, Peterson was invited to perform as part of the annual International Double Reed Society Conference.
