Brian Barker wrote his master's thesis “NewsNet: A Qualitative Analysis of the First Fully Converged Newsroom in America” in 2000. In it he presents a qualitative study on the convergence of broadcast, print, and online media in BYU’s NewsNet, the first collegiate integrated newsroom in America.
