'Brandon R. Bascom received a degree in Music Performance from BYU in 2004.

Brandon was a Catherine Chipman Stringham Scholarship recipient.

In 2003, Bascom was the first prize winner of the Utah Music Teachers Federation Student Audition in the college division of piano. He won $200 for his efforts.

After graduating from BYU in 2004, Brandon attended the Manhattan School of Music where he earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance in 2006. In 2008, Brandon earned another Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Michigan. Brandon is currently finishing his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa.

Brandon has maintained his own private studio teaching students since 2002. He has studied with Uriel Tsachor, Christopher Harding, Arkady Aronov, Dr. Irene Peery-Fox, Ralph van der Beek, Gary Amano, Dr. David Glen Hatch, and Piano Pedagogy with Dr. Carol Aicher, Dr. John Ellis and Dr. Alan Huckleberry. Brandon enjoys arranging songs and hymns for the piano. Brandon, his wife Lindsey and their sons Kurt and Luke currently reside in Rexburg, Idaho, where Brandon is a professor at Brigham Young University-Idaho.
