Bonnie Schroeder

Bonnie Schroeder is the principal oboist of the Orchestra at Temple Square. She is an adjunct instructor at Utah State University and a member of both Logan Canyon Winds and The Prevailing Winds quintets. She has played on over fifty commercial recordings and soundtracks, included Grammy-nominated Spirit of the Season with Sissel and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Schroeder received a bachelor of music degree from Brigham Young University and then returned to Texas to complete a master of music degree at the University of Texas. She also worked toward a doctorate at the University of North Texas.
She is the former principal oboist of the Abilene Philharmonic and the San Angelo Symphony Orchestras.
In 2008, Schroeder was invited to perform as part of the International Double Reed Society Annual Conference.
