Bethanne Andersen

Bethanne Parker Andersen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Design at Brigham Young University.

Andersen graduated from BYU in 1976 with a bachelors degree in art and in 1979 with a masters degree in painting and sculpting.

In 1998, a book she illustrated, Seven Brave Women, won the Jane Addams Children's Book Award and a Boston Globe-Horn Book honor. In 2006 Andersen was privileged to travel to Florence to attend the Florence Academy of Art. Additionally, she and fellow faculty member Robert Barrett had the opportunity to attend the Portrait Society of America's annual conference.

During her time at BYU Andersen has received various accolades, including the Young Scholar Award.
