Aubrey Ann Smith Woods graduated from Brigham Young University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in violin performance.

In 2009 Woods received a grant from the George and Geraldine Swensen Watkins Endowment for Excellence in the Arts as well as an Oscarson Discovery Grant which she used to travel to France to participate in a Summer Study at the Paris Converatory.

Late in 2011, Woods was awarded funds from the Laycock Center for Creative Collaboration in the Arts to commission French Horn professor Larry Lowe to write a sonata for violin and piano. The piece premiered January 2012 and was also professionally recorded with Jeff Shumway through Tantara Records.

In 2015, she was one of the alumni highlighted by the College of Fine Arts and Communications for the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Harris Fine Arts Center.

Woods is currently the Concertmaster for The Ballet West Orchestra. In March of 2011, she married Alex Woods and they live in Provo.
