Andrew J. Black graduated from BYU in 2002 with a degree in Media Arts.

He received an Oscarson Discovery Grant, in both Winter 2002 and Fall 2002 which helped him create, direct and promote his film “The Snell Show” in preparation for the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, UT.

Black has worked on multiple projects with his wife Anne Black, notably creating the LDS adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and most recently an adaptation of Moby Dick entitled "Dragon Fire."
