Allison Belnap
From College of Fine Arts and Communications
Allison Belnap graduated from the Department of Theatre and Media Arts at BYU in 2001 with a masters degree in Theatre and Media Arts.During Winter 2008, Belnap directed the Young Theatre Company’s production of The Jungle Book, which was taken on tour to elementary schools across the Wasatch Front.
She teaches part time at BYU in Acting and Performance Dramaturgy. Her particular areas of interest include acting performance and pedagogy as well as professional theatre for young audiences.
She has designed and implemented educational theatre and training programs for the Shakespeare Fellowship where she served as the Education Director, and for the Provo Theatre Company's Youth Theatre Academy.
She has performed in numerous professional and amateur stage productions as well as various commercials and some film work.
